Enrolment

Applications to St Augustine’s Anglican Kindergarten can be submitted once your child turns two years of age. Offers will be sent out the year before your child is due to attend and will no longer be based upon the date and time that an application was submitted.

To apply, please complete our online application form  (link under the ‘About Us TAB’) along with payment of the non-refundable application fee. Payment is made by electronic funds transfer, details provided at the end of the form.

Once you submit your application online, you will receive an automatic email confirming that it has been lodged, please note that applications are only processed once the application fee has been paid.

Places are offered in the year before your child is due to attend kindergarten. You will be contacted via email in July to either offer your child a place, or advise you that your child has been added to the waiting list. If your child is offered a place you will be given a timeframe within which to accept the offer and secure your child’s place by paying a refundable holding deposit. If your child has been placed on the waiting list you may then be contacted in second and third round offers.

Please note that your child must be three years of age by 30 April in the year in which you would like them to start the three year old kindergarten program. Likewise, to be eligible to attend four year old kindergarten your child must be four years of age by 30 April in the year of attendance at four year old kindergarten.

Immunisation – No Jab No Play

The Victorian Government has passed new immunisation legislation named ‘No Jab, No Play’, which took effect on 1 January 2016.

‘No Jab, No Play’ aims to reduce the risk of vaccine-preventable diseases through increased immunisation rates in the community.

The legislation requires all children enrolling in early childhood education and care services to be up to date with their vaccinations or to have an approved exemption. This includes long day care, kindergarten, occasional care and family day care.

From 1 January 2016, all parents/guardians seeking to enrol their child at an early childhood service in Victoria must provide evidence that their child is:

  • fully immunised for their age OR
  • on a vaccination catch-up program OR
  • unable to be fully immunised for medical reasons.

On enrolment you must provide copy of your child’s most recent Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) as evidence of your child’s immunisation.
